Heritage can reach in to enrich our lives as individuals and community.
After our 80 strong international online Roundtable last week, please join us this week in person for the latest of our Twilight Talks about Design. With a keynote from Christine May of the Fife Historic Buildings Trust, we'll hear from three inspiring panelists.

Ruthanne Baxter FRSA is Museums Manager at University of Edinburgh and discusses design of their Prescribe Culture intervention in support of good mental health; Lynsey Gillespie of PRONI visits from Belfast to explore the use of N.Ireland's Public Records to support community well-being; and artist Hannah Ayre discusses her 20 years experience in public engagement across the UK including at Silverburn Park in Fife.

We're Walking

Linen Routes and Open Doors

We've partnered with local communities and Scotland's Doors Open Days to co-design new walks and promote creative endeavours in Fife. Many thanks to Christine and the team at Markinch Heritage and to all at Auchtertool House for last weekend. Our Walks were swiftly subscribed and we aim to offer them again with new Linen Route Maps to download too. Flax Mill and Dunfermline tours are fully booked but Silverburn Park is open for visitors all weekend.

This Sunday from 11.30am - 4pm, visit Burntisland's Platform Studios to meet linen handloom weaver Susie Redman who will be joined by poet Sheena Barry, reading some of her work resonant of the day's themes.

Our flax has germinated and is growing well in situ, heralding our new Flax Futures collaborations already taking shape . As Scotland's Flax and Linen Festival concludes this weekend, we'll keep you in touch of the developing Flax Futures projects in the months to come @journeysindesign (across all platforms) and on Our Linen Stories Facebook page.

We hope to see you soon,
With best wishes from all the team,
John
